| Read Our Blog Read Our Blog Blog IT Career Lab: âNo Student Left Behindâ Donna Claxton April 29, 2016 IT Career Lab, Training, Workforce zero Returning to high school could be a daunting task. For the students who enroll in IT Career Lab, they are tasked with learning quite a lot of material in a brief amount of time. Theyâre working to not solely to finish the designated curriculum, but also to earn certifications and work on profession readiness skills to reenter the workforce. At the beginning of every new class, we encourage the scholars to form examine teams; since members usually come to us with all kinds of IT expertise and backgrounds and can share data, experience and experiences. However, I even have by no means witnessed the level of camaraderie and cohesiveness displayed by the students of our IT Career Lab class that started this previous December. The class motto of âNo Student Left Behindâ offered the whole class with a feeling of empowerment and togetherness all through their training journ ey. This group of scholars devised a schedule of conferences after class to evaluation lessons for the day, ask each other questions, and share their computer screens to evaluate info. They would also send inquiries to their instructor, and reviewed questions collectively within the subsequent class session. For those unable to attend the group classes within the evenings, some of the college students would stay after class to help these classmates with problems they were having in mastering the fabric. The college students would additionally hold evaluation sessions with their instructor during class time and work collectively to ensure that all questions were answered for everyone prior to each certification examination. Since its inception, IT Career Lab has accomplished 35 courses. This was the primary time Iâve witnessed such care and concern by the scholars for his or her fellow classmates. I was extraordinarily impressed with the dedication and steadfastness of our December class, as their actions actually exemplified a lot of National Able Networkâs core values in displaying integrity, compassion, innovation and service to others. Itâs a joy to witness the success of every one who completes the program and moves ahead in reaching their respective profession objectives. Please be a part of me in congratulating IT Career Labâs December class! Good luck to you all â" I know you'll do great things!
